Contemporary
architecture is the art of the 21st century incorporating all types of
techniques and trends, ranging from abstract art to modernism, with a very
minimal use of conventional materials. No single style dominates; many
architects are now working in many different styles, including high-tech,
minimalist and more expressive and abstract styles, looking like sculpture on a
massive scale.
With less reliance on
traditional materials, contemporary architecture features a lot of glass and
other highly reflective surfaces. This creates an atmosphere of light and
lightness that is both calming and invigorating. But unlike the traditional
forms, contemporary architecture is neither very plain nor very elegant; on the
contrary, it is full of color and vibrancy, blending traditional elements with
innovative innovations that bring an entirely new dimension into architecture.
Here are just a few examples of contemporary architecture:
The Museum of Modern
Art, New York City is one of the many modernist institutions of contemporary
architecture. It houses some of the most renowned modern artists and has a very
eclectic collection of works by many contemporary designers. The museum's
overall design has a number of striking features: from the open ceiling area
that invites visitors into the space, to the massive sculptures of Frank Lloyd
Wright, the Museum of Modern Art is a place where you will always be tempted to
look around and explore its many facets.
The High Tech Museum in
San Francisco, California is another example of high technology in contemporary
architecture. This museum is located on the campus of Stanford University, near
the business district. The museum is dedicated to the field of computer science
and is dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge technology that is used for the
creation of computers and communication systems.
The Center for
Architecture & Design at the University of Minnesota is one of the most
prominent and respected architectural design schools in the United States. The
Center for Architecture and Design offers both undergraduate and graduate
degrees, as well as professional training and internship programs. The Center
for Architecture & Design is a home for the Master of Architecture degree
program, as well as the Master of Science in Architecture degree program.
The interior design
school at the College of Design and Planning at University of Texas in Austin
is another example of contemporary architecture and interior design. It is one
of only a few undergraduate degree design programs at this university and
offers two Bachelor of Arts degree options: Bachelor of Science in Interior Design
